A 35-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly exploiting her own children sexually online in Barangay Tambacan, Iligan City.
The suspect was arrested during entrapment and rescue operations and implementation of a warrant to search, seized, and examine computer data (WSSECD).
During the operation, three minors – two boys and one girl – were rescued.
They were turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) for assessment and intervention.
According to the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10), the woman allegedly sold explicit photos of her own children to foreign individuals online.
The woman is now detained and may face charges for alleged violation of the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act (R.A. 11930).
“This operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to safeguarding children from the dangers of online sexual abuse and exploitation. We will not rest until every child in Northern Mindanao is protected from these despicable crimes,” PRO-10 Director, Brigadier General Rolindo Suguilon, said.
