YouScooper Eric Calma Regala showed GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas a bomb shelter in Kiryat Haim, Haifa, Israel.

Regala together with his employer would seek refuge in the bomb shelter every time there are missile alerts just like what happened on June 18, 2025.

The missile alerts would reach four times in a day, including at dawn.

Regala said he is aware of the dangerous situation they are in as rockets have hit their location.

Meanwhile, the Negros Occidental Public Employment Service Office (PESO) has mounted a Help Desk where relatives of Negrense overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by the Israel-Iran tension can ask for assistance.

As of this writing, the Local Government Unit with the help of the Department of Migrant Workers confirmed that no Negrense OFW is reported hurt in Israel.

Further, at least 21 Ilonggo OFWs in Israel are reported to be in safe and fine condition.

According to PESO-Iloilo City, the 21 Ilonggo OFWs continue to report to work despite having to run to the bomb shelter from time to time.

None of them is keen on coming home to the Philippines, citing that it would be a waste to leave their respective jobs.

“Let’s encourage them to go home kung kinakailangan na mag-go-home. Nandito ang PESO to assist you all the way from your flight,” said Gab Umadhay, PESO-Iloilo City head.
