A 40-year-old man wanted for allegedly raping his minor daughter was arrested in Kadingilan, Bukidnon.
According to the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10), the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant for qualified rape issued on May 26, 2025. The court did not allow the suspect to post bail.
Authorities said the suspect allegedly assaulted his 16-year-old daughter sexually in September 2024, and the victim became pregnant.
The suspect is now detained at the Kadingilan Municipal Police Station.
He was facing a murder case in 2013, which was dismissed later.
PRO-10 said the campaign against all forms of criminality, including those crimes involving women and children, will be intensified.
“The successful arrest of a regional most wanted person is a clear demonstration of our commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of heinous crimes face justice. PRO10 will not waver in its pursuit of wanted individuals and will continue to exert all efforts to protect our communities, especially the vulnerable,” PRO-10 Director, Brigadier General Rolindo Suguilon, said.
