A farmer discovered a suspected World War II-era bomb near his vegetable farm in Barangay Poblacion, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya.

The vintage bomb was found beside a creek and reported immediately to local authorities.

Police and the Provincial Explosive and Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team responded and conducted a render safe procedure.

An EOD technician confirmed that the bomb weighed approximately 1,000 pounds or around 453 kilograms.

Authorities believe the ordnance dates back to the Second World War.

It was safely transported to the EOD office in Bayombong for proper disposal.
