A Philippine tarsier was rescued from the street near a public market in Barangay South, General Santos City.
The tricycle driver who saw the tarsier first brought it to the barangay to ensure its safety.
The tarsier was eventually turned over to the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).
Authorities released the tarsier at the Tarsier Sanctuary in Barangay Linan, Tupi, South Cotabato after it was found to be in stable condition with no sign of injury or parasitic infection.
