Authorities uprooted and burned over P8 million worth of marijuana plants in Tinglayan, Kalinga over the weekend.
On Friday, June 27, 2025, police discovered around 30,000 marijuana plants in a plantation in Barangay Loccong. The next day, June 28, 2025, they found another 6,000 plants in an area nearby in the same barangay.
No one was arrested in either operation.
Investigators are now working to identify those behind the illegal plantations.
