Three people died and several others were injured in two separate motorcycle collisions in Sta. Cruz and Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.

A 28-year-old woman and the person riding with her died after their motorcycle collided with another motorbike along the national highway in Barangay Sagat, Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur.

Based on the police report, the victims made a U-turn when they were hit by another motorcycle. The two motorcycles collided in the middle of the road.

“‘Yung place kasi ng incident malapit sa kurbada kaya hindi agad nakapag-preno ‘yung isang driver. Ang sabi sinubukan niyang iwasan, ngunit it was too late,” PLT Ivyn Kyle Delorino, deputy chief of police in Sta. Cruz, said.

Both victims sustained severe head injuries and were declared dead at the Ilocos Sur District Hospital in Sta. Lucia. Bernardez, the other rider, suffered minor injuries and was released on bail later after being charged.
