Authorities have arrested the man who allegedly shot a man walking along the road in Cotabato City.
Police identified the victim as alias “Benzar,” self-employed and resident of Darapanan, Crossing Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.
According to the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), the victim was walking along the street when the suspect allegedly followed him and shot him seven times.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of his body. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Investigators are looking into personal grudge as possible motive.
The suspect was eventually arrested during hot pursuit operation.
