A new officer-in-charge (OIC) has been designated to lead the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) temporarily.

In an interview with GMA Super Radyo Davao, DCPO spokesperson, Captain Hazel Caballero-Tuazon, said Col. Marinao Rodriguez has been appointed as OIC of DCPO while the Philippine National Police (PNP) has yet to name a permanent replacement for Col. Hansel Marantan.

Before his new assignment, Rodriguez served as the deputy regional director for administration at the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11).

Marantan bid farewell to his colleagues in the DCPO, local government, and the people of Davao City on Monday, June 30, 2025. He also confirmed that he was offered a position under the PNP’s peace process on development.

Marantan has earlier submitted a request for relief to the PNP headquarters, citing health reasons.
