Basilan Governor Mujiv Hataman is set to issue an executive order banning the use of his name or image on all government-funded projects in the province.

During his inaugural speech, Hataman reiterated his commitment to good governance and respect for public funds.

He said the executive order is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in public service.

Hataman added that even before taking office, he had already reached out to several national agencies operating in the province, requesting that they refrain from displaying his name or image in any government infrastructure or programs.

As his new term begins, the governor’s directive marks a strong push toward accountability and a reminder that public service is a duty to the people, not a platform for self-promotion.
