The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced of a scheduled power interruption in parts of Iloilo and Guimaras Provinces on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
The power outage is set from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The affected areas are Iloilo Electric Cooperative (ILECO) I Leganes Substation, and Guimaras Electric Cooperative (GUIMELCO) Jordan and Zaldivar Substations, and Guimaras Wind.
NGCP cited that the momentary isolation of structures 6-43 of the Sta. Barbara - Bolong 69kV Line section for reconductoring is the reason for the scheduled power interruption.
“Specific affected areas are determined by the Electric Cooperatives (ECs). NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power as quickly and efficiently as possible,” the NGCP advisory further reads.
