A college student was found dead inside a septic tank at a construction site in Barangay Tinaan, Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur morning on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Authorities said a man who was about to clean the area discovered the body. The victim was reportedly seen last evening on Sunday, July 6, 2025, drinking with friends.
The following day, her dead body was found inside the tank of an unfinished house.
Initial police findings suggest the victim may have accidentally fallen in.
However, investigators are still waiting for the official autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have already spoken to the victim’s drinking companions. They were allowed to go home later.
The student’s family has yet to issue a statement, as of this writing.
