Authorities arrested four people and seized suspected shabu worth around P11 million in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Marawi City and Lanao del Norte.

Anti-illegal drug operatives arrested a high value individual in the illegal drug trade in an operation in Barangay Basak Malutlut, Marawi City, following monitoring and intelligence efforts.

Seized from the suspect were a pack of suspected shabu weighing around 750 grams and worth around P5.1 million and a motorcycle.

Meanwhile, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga (PDEA-9) confiscated around 500 grams of suspected shabu worth around P3.4 million in a buy-bust operation in Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte.

Another high value individual was arrested during the operation.

In Lala town, a palay vendor and a woman were arrested with suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation.

“Both are college graduates and residents of the area. Both suspects were tagged as High-Value Targets (HVTs),” PDEA-9 said.

During the operation, authorities seized sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 375 grams and worth around P2.5 million.

All suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
