A salary increase worth P130 daily for job hires and employees under Contract-of-Service (COS) status of the Iloilo City Hall has been approved.
The hike in daily wage, on top of the workers’ base rate worth P450 daily, commenced in July 2025.
Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas said that included in the daily wage increase is the contribution of the said workers to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) under an agreement with the Iloilo City Government.
“This will make sure nga makahatag na sila sang budget para sa ila PhilHealth, kay isa gid naton ka campaign ang ikaayong lawas sang tanan. Unahon naton ang aton pamilya diri sa city government, kay kon ma-take care naton ang ila health, masiguro man nga ma-take care naton ang health sang tanan nga pumuluyo diri sa syudad,” Treñas said.
