A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured a man going down the gate of a lending company in Barangay Guzman-Jesena, Mandurriao, Iloilo City morning on July 13, 2025.

The man was wearing a black hoodie jacket, and carrying a backpack.

Later, over P250,000 cash were reported missing.

The cash was reportedly a collection of a lending company from July 6, 2025 to July 12, 2025.

The lending company is owned by Indian nationals.

Aside from cash, pieces of jewelry and other personal belongings of the victims also went missing.

According to information provided by the Indian nationals to the police, they pointed out the suspect is familiar where the valuables were kept.

The Indian nationals said they kept the valuables in a room on the second floor of their office.

However, when the police investigated the area, they determined the place can be accessed easily by intruders.

“Pagpasok niya sa gate, possible na dumaan siya sa sliding window which is open, hindi na-lock. Maaari mong itulak, pwede ka nang pumasok,” Master Sergeant Romel Hubaldo, investigator at Iloilo City Police Station 5, said.

Police are looking into the possibility of inside job, or that the burglar conducted surveillance for a long time before ransacking the office.

It took the thief approximately 15 minutes to cart away the valuables.

GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas tried to get a comment from the victims, but they refused to give a statement.
