A low-pressure area (LPA) east of Bicol has strengthened into Tropical Depression #CrisingPH as of 8 a.m. on July 16, 2025, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

#CrisingPH was last spotted 780 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes, packing maximum winds of 45 km/h and gusts of up to 50 km/h.

It is moving westward at a speed of 35 km/h.

PAGASA is expected to release its first Tropical Cyclone Bulletin for #CrisingPH at 11 a.m. on July 16, 2025.

Though still a weak storm, #CrisingPH and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon are expected to bring moderate to heavy rains across several areas in the coming days.

PAGASA has warned that rainfall could be heavier in elevated or mountainous areas, and flooding or landslides may occur, especially where the ground is already saturated from recent rains.
