Rains welcomed parts of Luzon on Monday due to the southwest monsoon or Habagat, which, along with the recent Severe Tropical Storm #CrisingPH, left at least two people dead, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Authorities are also verifying reports of three more deaths.
One person was confirmed injured, while four others are still being validated. Seven individuals remain missing.
The NDRRMC said more than 800,000 people across 16 regions were affected by the bad weather.
In response, the Department of Agriculture ordered immediate assistance for affected farmers and fisherfolk.
Initial reports showed over 2,000 farmers were affected, with agricultural damage reaching more than ₱50 million in Western Visayas and MIMAROPA.
