Three people were injured after the truck they were riding, which was loaded with fish, fell on its side in Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

Police said the truck came from Barangay Manicahan in Zamboanga City.

Upon reaching the place of the incident, the driver reportedly stepped on the brakes in an attempt to avoid a motorcycle that allegedly sped up beside the truck.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and the truck crashed into the car parked by the road.

Felipe Lacadman, Jr., said.

Residents came quickly to help the passengers, especially the one who appeared to be pinned inside the truck.

The 44-year-old driver, his 53-year-old helper, and the 40-year-old owner of the fish cargo were brought to the hospital for treatment.

The 65 boxes of fish being transported spilled to the street.

The owner of the damaged car has reportedly reached a settlement with the truck owner.

GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is reaching out to all parties involved for a statement, as of this writing.
