Floodwaters in Calasiao, Pangasinan have started to subside in some areas, but 21 barangays remain inundated as of July 28, 2025.

The Marusay and Sinucalan Rivers remain swollen due to continuous rains over the past weeks. While flood levels on certain roads, such as the stretch from Barangay Mancup to Nansangaan leading to Buenlag, Malasiqui, and San Carlos City, have lowered and are now passable, hazards still remain.

“We pass at our own risk, pero ibayong pag-iingat lamang po dahil kapansin-pansin na ‘yung ibang mga kalsada natin ay nagkaroon ng bako-bako. May maliliit na bato na kung saan puwedeng mag-cause ng aksidente ng pagkadulas o aksidente sa ating mga residente,” Kristine Joy Soriano, spokesperson for the Calasiao DRRM Office, said.

The worst flooding is still reported in Barangays Talibaew, Lasip, and Mancup.

At the Calasiao Sports Complex, 295 families, or 1,102 individuals, remain in evacuation.

To ease stress among those displaced, the local government has organized activities including a Mass, movie screenings, and even a magic show for children.

“Para sa mga children, meron din tayong spiritual, para at least hindi po nila maramdaman na may problema sila. Gusto po natin maipadama sa kanila na hindi sila nag-iisa sa sakuna na nararamdaman nila,” Ace Lorenzo Jorgio, a day care worker, said.

“Mas maganda po ‘yon para hindi ma-boring, tapos mas nakakalimutan ‘yung mga problema po,” Abigail Ferrer, an evacuee, said.

Meanwhile, repacking of relief goods continues, as the local government works to distribute aid to all families affected.
