Over 9,000 people in Pangasinan remain in evacuation centers as floods continue to affect several parts of the province.

According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), 2,628 families (9,032 individuals) have been displaced.

In Dagupan City alone, 94 families (366 individuals) from Lasip Grande, Pogo Chico, Tapuac, and Barangays 2 and 3 are housed currently in the People’s Astrodome. Most evacuees are between 20 to 59 years old, and authorities are focusing on their daily needs.

“Lahat ng pangangailangan nila ay provided po,” Eden Arboneda, Manpower Development Officer I of the Dagupan CSWD Office, said.

“Mini-make sure namin na ‘yung mga bata, nakakalaro naman,” she added.

“Naibibigay naman ‘yung tamang pagkain at gamot para sa mga bata,” Cindy Santillan, an evacuee, said.

Health officials are also monitoring the evacuees.

“Chini-check namin sila every now and then... laging available ang gamot sa CHO (City Health Office) po,” Ernesto Llavore, a nurse from the CHO, said.

Barangay officials continue to encourage cleanliness inside evacuation areas.

“Lagi namin nire-remind sa kanila ‘yung paglilinis lalo na sa CR natin at sumusunod naman po sila,” Arboneda added.

“Naibibigay po natin. Tinatanong po natin palagi kung ano ang kailangan nila. Lumapit lang sila sa barangay kasi nandito lang naman tayo.”

As of July 29, 2025, only 14 areas in Pangasinan remain flooded.
