Two workers died and two others, including the driver, were injured after the loader they were riding fell off a 100-meter cliff in Barangay Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
The four are employees of the Benguet Provincial Engineering Office.
They were on their way to Barangay Bineng to conduct road clearing operations due to a reported soil erosion when the accident happened.
According to police, the loader reportedly lost its brakes while going downhill on a sharp curve, causing it to plunge into the ravine.
The two men who were injured are being treated in the hospital. Investigation into the incident continues, as of this writing.
