Authorities intercepted a shipment of suspected ketamine from Belgium at the Port of Clark in Pampanga and arrested three suspects in Nueva Ecija in separate anti-drug operations that yielded over P584,000 worth of suspected shabu.
According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), they received intelligence reports about an incoming parcel from Belgium.
The shipment arrived at the port on July 24, 2025, and was opened on July 30, 2025, revealing over five kilos of suspected ketamine.
The seized substance will undergo forensic examination and confirmatory analysis to verify its contents.
Meanwhile, in Cabanatuan City, police arrested three individuals, including one woman, in two consecutive buy-bust operations.
Two suspects were caught on July 28 in Barangay Imelda. Authorities recovered five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 20.10 grams, valued at P136,680.
Later, police arrested a 48-year-old man in Barangay Bantug Norte. He was found in possession of about 51.20 grams of suspected shabu worth P348,160 and P1,000 in marked money.
The total estimated value of shabu confiscated from the three suspects is over P584,000.
All suspects will face charges and remain in custody. They have yet to issue official statements.
"Kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 ang kahaharapin ng mga suspek," LtCol. Renato Morales, Chief of Police, Cabanatuan City Police Station, said.
