The body of a man was found on the shore of Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu past 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

However, no one in the area has recognized the man.

As of this writing, the identity of the man and the circumstances of his death are still under investigation.

According to Roel Labajo, Bantay Dagat member in Talisay City, he was strolling on the beach when he saw a man lying face down.

When he went near, he noticed that the man was not breathing at all, so he sought assistance of policemen immediately.

Labajo said that the man was wearing a green t-shirt, black short pants, of medium built, about five-foot, four-inch tall.

A tattoo that reads “Jastine” is distinct on his right arm.

Labajo surmised tha the person is from another place and was washed ashore in Cansojong.

No wound was found anywhere on the man’s body.

As of posting time, the man has not been identified yet.

No member of his family, or relative, approached the police to help identify and claim his body.
