The Cebu Provincial Government opened formally on Monday, August 4, 2025, the celebration to mark the 456^th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Cebu.

In line with the celebration, a week-long agri-fair dubbed “Tabo sa Kapitolyo” was also opened, participated by local government units (LGUs) bringing in products such as vegetables, fruits, root crops, and other items sold at affordable prices.  

Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro is overwhelmed by the presence of Provincial Board members and mayors of towns and component cities during the official kick-off for the month-long celebration. This would be a first for the new administration to celebrate the founding anniversary.

Further, Department of Agriculture (DA) 7 Director Angel Enriquez took a tour at "Tabo sa Kapitolyo" stalls or booths. He encouraged farmers to pursue further harnessing of food products and continue strengthening food security for the province, and the nation.

The founding anniversary highlights a “Caravan of Health Services” at the core of the celebration to be taken to various locations in the province.
