Two alleged holduppers were mauled by bystanders and residents of Barangay Singcang Airport, Bacolod City.

A video on the incident last August 5, 2025 showed two men in handcuffs. Authorities said that the men on video are alias “Steph,” 20 years old, and alias “Lenon,” 30 years old, who reportedly held up alias “Hero,” 20 years old, who makes a living by selling cellular phones.

Based on the statement of the victim to the police, the two suspects poked a pair of scissors at him during the holdupping incident. However, the suspects denied vehemently the allegation.

Alias “Lenon” blamed Stephen for embroiling him in the incident.

“O, nadamay lang ako. Kasalanan niya (alyas Stephen). Wala akong gunting na dala,” Lenon said.

The police have checked other possible victims eking out a living in the area.

GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas sought a statement from the victim, but he was not around in the area when the news team tried to look for him.

It was further learned that the victim has recovered the cellphone.

Charges for robbery-holdup will be filed against the suspects.

Lenon will reportedly face additional charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 after the authorities found in his possession three sachets of suspected shabu.
