A woman in Davao City has sought police assistance to surrender her 20-year-old son who was allegedly in possession of illegal drugs worth around P1.5 million.

The suspect was reportedly not in his right state of mind when his mother decided to call authorities.

Upon inspection, operatives recovered a block of dried marijuana leaves weighing around 1,000 grams.

Police said the suspect has a prior criminal record and has been linked to other crimes in their community.

Hazel Caballero Tuazon, said.

The suspect will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).

Police are calling on families to immediately report any member who may be involved in illegal activities.
