A daycare center in Barangay Mandug, Davao City was trashed by two alleged minor members of a gang.
A teacher at the DDF Village Child Development Daycare Center could only stare in tears upon finding out that the classroom walls and doors have been vandalized with obscene words and drawings using spray paint.
A television was also destroyed.
The boys also carted away a laminator machine, as well as the P3,000 class funds kept inside a drawer.
Based on investigation, the boys entered through the back door of the classroom.
Authorities rescued the two boys later.
“Nag-file ta og kaso for robbery with force upon things and malicious mischief against aning two minors nga na-rescue nato nga involved sa pag-ransack ug pag-vandal sa daycare center,” Davao City Police Office (DCPO) Spokesperson, Capt. Hazel Caballero Tuazon, said.
A contractor has inspected the classroom for repairs after the barangay provided the funds.
“Repair and maintenance in the sense nga wala man tay usbon, unsa ray naguba, damage, mao to ang ilisan,” the contractor, Engr. Remy Ganir, said.
Classes have been relocated temporarily to the homeowners association office while repairs are underway.
