Police in the Cordillera region confiscated more than P34.2 million worth of illegal drugs in July 2025 through a series of operations, including marijuana eradication and buy-busts.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) reported that they carried out 51 operations during the month.
These led to the arrest of 33 drug suspects, 11 of whom were classified as high-value individuals, while 22 were street-level targets.
Authorities seized 320.01 grams of shabu, 144,590 fully grown marijuana plants, 680 marijuana seedlings, and 26,250 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops.
Police Capt. Clotheldee Pacuyan, chief of the PRO-COR Public Information Office, said all confiscated illegal drugs are under the custody of the Regional Forensic Group-CAR, especially those without court orders.
“Base sa chain of custody ng PNP, lahat ng mga nakumpiskang ilegal na droga ay nasa kustodiya ng Regional Forensic Group-CAR lalo na ‘yung mga walang order ng court,” Pacuyan said.
He added that police will intensify their campaign against illegal drugs in the Cordillera region through regular Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO), which include buy-bust operations, the implementation of search warrants, and the serving of arrest warrants.
