A man suspected of stealing from a convenience store in Agoo, La Union, and later from a business establishment in Baguio City, is now facing multiple robbery charges.
Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage showed the man loitering outside a convenience store in Agoo, La Union before entering.
Inside, he was caught on video taking various goods and cash worth about P50,000, according to the store owner. The footage also showed the suspect carrying a box as he left the store and boarded a tricycle.
“Ang lahat ng nakuha niya malaking halaga, mga sigarilyo, cash at imported na chocolates,” Kronika Bulanadi, the store owner, said.
The owner, who has already identified the suspect, filed a formal complaint with the police.
Police said the suspect later went to Baguio City, where he entered another establishment and took a gadget and cash.
Marcy Grace Marron, spokesperson of the Baguio City Police Office, said.
Authorities in Baguio have filed a robbery with force upon things case against the suspect and are preparing more charges for theft incidents in the city in recent months.
Police are investigating his possible involvement in other incidents.
