A 23-year-old man in Iligan City surrendered after he hacked his friend to death and led authorities personally to the location of the victim’s body.
Authorities said the suspect reportedly confessed to killing the victim in Purok Sardab, Barangay Digkilaan.
Police said the suspect owned up to the crime out of guilt, especially since he and the victim were friends.
Police added that the victim and the suspect had a prior conflict, which they believe could be the motive behind the killing.
The suspect is now detained and will face murder charges.
