A former security guard wanted for allegedly kidnapping a six-year-old boy in 2024 was arrested in Munai, Lanao del Norte.

Operatives of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group-Mindanao Field Unit (AKG-MFU) and other law enforcement units arrested the female suspect by virtue of a warrant for kidnapping and serious illegal detention under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code.

The warrant was issued on April 28, 2025, and the court did not allow the suspect to post bail.

According to the PNP AKG, the suspect, a resident of Bacolod, Lanao del Norte, is the primary suspect in the kidnapping of the boy in Iligan City last November 17, 2024.

“I commend our men involved in this successful operation. This accomplishment once again manifests our commitment to serve justice without delay. To the perpetrators out there, let the arms of justice stretch out to you soon,” PNP AKG Director, Brigadier General Glicerio Cansilao, said.
