A couple in Dagupan City found a lifeless and naked body of a missing seven-year-old girl along the shore of Barangay Bonuan Gueset early morning on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Erlina Dacierdo and her live-in partner, Joseph Ramos, were preparing to case their nets past 5 a.m. when they noticed what they first thought was a doll. The upper body was inside a garbage bag, and the child was naked.
“Naghihila po ako ng daklis, Ma’am. Tapos nung pagkahila ko po, mga apat na hakbang ko po, pagtingin ko po ng ganun, paa. Hilahin mo na, sabi ko, may patay na bata dito,” Dacierdo said.
Ramos said he was stunned by the sight and told his partner to call for help immediately.
“Parang natutulala tapos sabi ko [sa asawa ko], tumawag ka na doon para makita nila,” he said.
Police identified the victim as Alleria Gabrielle Jamias, also known as “Portia,” from Asingan, Pangasinan. She was reported missing on Thursday, August 14.
Police said initial medico-legal examination showed three cuts on her neck.
“Nag-conduct po ng initial examination yung SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives), ‘yung medico-legal officer natin, nakita po namay tatlong gilit sa leeg ng bata. Then nalaman namin na itong bata ay ito ‘yung nawawalang bata sa Asinagan kagabi,” PLTCOL. Lawrence Keith Calub, Officer-in-Charge of the Dagupan City Police Station, said.
Grieving, her family appealed to the public not to share photos or videos of the child’s remains online.
In a social media post, a relative described her as a smart and loving daughter, adding that they are working closely with authorities to seek justice.
Asingan Vice Mayor Heidee Chua condemned the crime and pledged support in finding the perpetrator. Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez also expressed sadness and vowed to assist in the investigation.
Pangasinan Police Provincial Office OIC PCOL Arbel Mercullo assured that authorities will pursue the case relentlessly.
“We will not rest until justice is served… To the perpetrator—wherever you are hiding, we will find you… and you will face the maximum penalty that justice demands,” he said.
Calub said witnesses claimed a Toyota Fortuner came to the victim’s home, where the driver picked her up without force, leading investigators to suspect the perpetrator may be someone she knew.
"Sumama po [yung biktima sa suspek], kinarga [ng suspek] ‘yung bata [at isinakay]. So most probably, relative niya,” he added.
Police are urging the public to provide any information that could help solve the case. The investigation is ongoing.
