Authorities are seeking the public’s help to identify a man’s decomposing body found floating in the Angalacan River in Barangay Osiem, Mangaldan, Pangasinan, on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

The victim, estimated to be 35 to 40 years old and found naked, was found by a fisherman.

According to Mangaldan DRRM Office spokesperson Ernie Cuison, no one from the town has been reported missing,” Cuison said.

“Sa paghahanap natin sa kung sino ang nakakakilala sa kanya sa Mangaldan ay wala tayong nawawalang kababayan, “So siguro ‘yung mga karatig bayan natin [na] Mapandan, San Jacinto, Manaoag. Siguro maigeng ma-inform sila baka may nawawala silang kamag-anak so pwede silang pumunta sa isang funeraria dito sa Mangaldan,” Cuison added.

Authorities believe the body may have been in the river for three to four days before it was found. They are still investigating whether the man drowned or was killed and dumped into the river.

The body is currently at a funeral home in Mangaldan, awaiting identification.
