A juvenile Philippine Serpent Eagle has been released safely back into its natural habitat in Bago City, Province of Negros Occidental.

According to park ranger and Youscooper Israel Malunes, the eagle was rescued and turned over by the Barangay Binubuhan Council to the Bago City Environment Management Office.

The eagle was released back into the wild on August 14, 2025. 

Israel, a park ranger at Mount Kanlaon Natural Park, was with the City Environment Management Office of Bago City, and the Kanlaon Green Brigade of Bago City when the eagle was released.
