Two men were injured after a street brawl involving a group of young men and women broke out near a group of people drinking in Lower Magsaysay, Baguio City.

An amateur video showed several individuals ganging up on the victims, punching, kicking, and hitting them in the middle of the road at around 3 a.m. on August 18, 2025.

Police said the first victim tried to intervene when he saw a man and a woman arguing, but he was attacked. The second victim, who attempted to help, was also beaten.

The Baguio police said the victims and suspects did not know each other.

The victims have decided to file complaints for physical injuries against the suspects who were arrested shortly after the incident.

Meanwhile, the city police said they have stepped up patrols and enforcement of ordinances during curfew hours to prevent similar incidents.

Continuous ‘yung pagpapatrolya doon,” Marron said.
