Three brothers, one of which is reportedly a Number 1 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilman, were arrested for illegal drugs.

Authorities confiscated from the suspects about 60 grams of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Zone 2, Barangay San Juan, Molo District, Iloilo City.

According to Police Captain Ryan Christ Inot, chief of the Iloilo City Police Station 4 - Molo Police Station, the main subject of the buy-bust operation is the 23-year-old SK councilman.

The illegal drugs were estimated to be worth P408,000.

The buy-bust operation was based purportedly on several calls received by the Molo Police on the siblings’ use of illegal drugs.

Transaction was done through electronic wallet application, where information on the exact spot the illegal drugs will be dropped for pick-up is provided.

The SK councilor has been profiled as a high value individual.

The three brothers have no permanent jobs, so as their parents, police disclosed.

The three suspects are now in the custody of Molo Police.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
