Visayas PAGASA Regional Services Division issued Thunderstorm Advisory No. 19 at 11:47 a.m. on August 20, 2025 on moderate to heavy rainshowers expected over areas in Western Visayas and Negros Island Region.

Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over #Iloilo (City of Passi), #Capiz (Ma-ayon, Sapi-an, Ivisan, Roxas City, Panitan, Panay, Pontevedra), #NegrosOccidental (Hinigaran, Pontevedra, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, San Enrique, La Carlota City, City of Himamaylan), #NegrosOriental (City of Guihulngan, Canlaon City, Vallehermoso and La Libertad) within the next one (1) to two (2) hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in #Aklan (Madalag, Libacao), #Capiz (Jamindan, Tapaz, Dumalag, Mambusao, Sigma, Dao, Cuartero, Dumarao), #Iloilo (Bingawan), #NegrosOccidental (Isabela and Binalbagan) which may persist within one (1) to two (2) hours and may affect nearby areas.

"All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates," the advisory added.
