A 29-year-old man was shot dead in Barangay Campo 7 (Ciete), Minglanilla town, Cebu in alleged jealous fit.
The victim was driving his motorcycle with a 28-year-old woman referred to as “Mae."
They were bound for Toledo City from Talisay City.
When they reached Campo 7, another motorcycle drove near them. The victim was shot.
He was hit on the forehead and died on the spot past 6 p.m. on August 19, 2025.
In an initial investigation conducted by the Minglanilla Police, the suspect was identified to be a resident of Campo 7, and Mae’s former live-in partner.
Jealousy is considered as a possible motive in having perpetrated the crime.
Police recovered the motorcycle used by the suspect, but he is still on the loose, as of this writing.
