Visayas PAGASA Regional Services Division issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 1, at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). 

Yellow Warning is raised over #OccidentalMindoro (Lubang, Looc, Paluan, Magsaysay, San Jose, Rizal), #Palawan (Busuanga, Coron, Culion, Linapacan, El Nido, Taytay, Agutaya, Magsaysay and Cuyo).

Flooding is possible in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas, PAGASA cited of associate hazards.

Meanwhile, Light to Moderate with occasionally Heavy rains are expected over #Palawan (Roxas, Kalayaan, Puerto Princesa City, Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Sofronio Espanola, Brooke's Point, Rizal, Bataraza, Balabac), #Iloilo (Alimodian, Badiangan, Barotac Nuevo, Cabatuan, Calinog, Dumangas, Guimbal, Igbaras, Iloilo City, Janiuay, Lambunao, Leganes, Leon, Maasin, Miagao, Mina, New Lucena, Oton, Pavia, Pototan, San Joaquin, San Miguel, Santa Barbara, Tigbauan, Tubungan, Zarraga), #Aklan, #Capiz (Jamindan, Tapaz), #Guimaras, #NegrosOccidental (BacolodCity, Bago City, Binalbagan, Cadiz City, Calatrava, Enrique B. Magalona, City of Escalante, City of Himamaylan, Hinigaran, Ilog, Isabela, City of Kabankalan, La Carlota City, La Castellana, Manapla, Moises Padilla, Murcia, Pontevedra, Pulupandan, Sagay City, San Carlos City, San Enrique, Silay City, City of Talisay, Toboso, Valladolid, City of Victorias, Salvador Benedicto) and #NegrosOriental within the next two (2) to three (3) hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in #OccidentalMindoro (Abra de Ilog, Mamburao, Santa Cruz, Sablayan, Calintaan), #Palawan(San Vicente, Dumaran, Araceli, Cagayancillo), #Antique, #NegrosOccidental (Candoni, Cauayan, Hinoba-an and City of Sipalay) which may persist within two (2) to )three (3) hours and may affect nearby areas.

The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 2 p.m. on August 22, 2025.
