An incumbent councilman in Catarman, Camiguin was arrested during a buy-bust operation over the weekend.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Northern Mindanao (PDEA-10) identified the suspect as alias “Wawad,” 31, councilman of Barangay Bonbon.
Seized during the operation were sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 6.5 grams.
ILIGAN OPERATION
Meanwhile, agents of PDEA-10 and PDEA-9 confiscated suspected shabu worth more than P13 million during a sting operation at a parking lot of a fast food establishment in Barangay Tubod, Iligan City.
Authorities arrested a 28-year-old suspect, a resident of Marawi City. His companion escaped.
Confiscated from the suspect were sachets of suspected shabu weighing around two kilos.
The suspects arrested in the two operations will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
