Coast Guard Station Southern Leyte has enforced a temporary suspension of voyages for all types of vessels and watercraft due to strong winds and rough seas effective 8:17 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, plying within the area of responsibility of Limasawa Island to Padre Burgos and vice versa.

"This is in relation to the Memorandum Circular No. 03-01 (Guidelines on Movement of Motorboats/Nessels in the Absence of Weather Bulletin in the Locality) and as a proactive measure of this station in order to avert maritime incident in the area," the sea travel advisory read.

"Further, all vessels/motorboats are reminded to take precautionary measures and be extra vigilant. Voyage will resume until further notice and upon improvement of weather and sea condition."

"Furthermore, vessels that intend to take shelter shall be permitted as long as it is manifested through a written request and no passenger/cargo will be allowed on board," the advisory added.
