A rockslide blocked a portion of the Barlig-Natonin National Road in Mountain Province, after weeks of continuous rain loosened the mountainside soil.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Barlig reported that large rocks fell onto the road around 11:30 a.m. on August 25, 2025.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Authorities said the road remains closed to vehicles while clearing operations are ongoing. The MDRRMO is also monitoring other roads in the town to ensure the safety of motorists.
“Sa mga motorista na laging dumadaan sa ating mga kalsada, mag-ingat po lalo na pagdating doon sa madulas na nagra-rockslide. … Pinag-iingat pa rin natin yung mga malapit doon sa rockslide,” Barlig DRRM Officer 1 Oya-an Charaychay said.
