Visayas PAGASA Regional Services Division issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 6 over areas in MIMAROPA and Western Visayas Regions. 

The heavy rainfall is due to the prevailing weather system, Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). 

The heavy rainfall warning was issued at 2 p.m. on August 27, 2025. 

Orange Warning is raised over #Palawan (San Vicente, Taytay and El Nido).

Associated Hazard: FLOODING IS THREATENING in low-lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas.

Yellow Warning: #OccidentalMindoro, #Palawan (Busuanga, Coron, Culion, Linapacan, Roxas, Dumaran, Araceli, Puerto Princesa City, Kalayaan) and #Antique

Associated Hazard: FLOODING IS POSSIBLE in low-lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, Light to Moderate with occasionally Heavy rains are expected over #Palawan (Magsaysay, Cuyo, Agutaya, Quezon, Rizal, Cagayancillo), #Aklan (Malay, Buruanga, Nabas, Ibajay, Malinao, Madalag, Makato, Tangalan, Lezo, Banga, Balete, Libacao), #Capiz (Tapaz, Jamindan), #Iloilo (San Joaquin, Miagao, Guimbal, Igbaras, Tubungan, Tigbauan, Oton, Pavia, San Miguel, Leon, Alimodian, Maasin, Lambunao, Janiuay, Cabatuan, Calinog, Santa Barbara, Iloilo City), #Guimaras, #NegrosOccidental (Hinoba-an, City of Sipalay, Candoni, Cauayan, Ilog, City of Kabankalan, City of Himamaylan, Binalbagan, Isabela and Hinigaran) within the next two (2) to three (3) hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in #Palawan (Aborlan) which may persist within two (2) to three (3) hours and may affect nearby areas.

"The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 5 p.m. today, August 27, 2025," the advisory added.
