Several roads in Benguet and Aurora were closed after continuous rains triggered landslides in the areas.

In Benguet, the Jose Mencio Provincial Road in Atok, the Benguet–Nueva Vizcaya Road in Sitio Pakak, Barangay Pito, Bokod, the Baguio–Itogon Road in Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon, and Kennon Road in Baguio City and Tuba were all declared unsafe.

The Benguet DRRM Office said clearing operations are ongoing.

As of 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the DPWH-CAR said the Baguio–Itogon Road and Kennon Road remain closed due to risks of soil collapse and rockfall.

In Aurora, a landslide also blocked Sapyo Road in Barangay Butas na Bato, Dingalan, around 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 26.

The MDRRMO reported that mud and rocks buried the road after heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and urged motorists to avoid the affected areas.
