Authorities are searching for four fishermen from Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental who have been reported missing at sea.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the Coast Guard Station-Davao Oriental said the fishermen – 28, 34, 48, and 51 years old – are all residents of Barangay Nangan.
Based on investigation, they were last seen fishing off the waters of Manay South Pacific Ocean on board a red motorized banca on August 20, 2025.
They were expected to return home on Monday, August 25, but they have yet to arrive, as of this writing.
The Coast Guard urged the public, especially other fishermen, to report any sightings of the missing fishermen.
The Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao earlier advised fishermen to exercise caution and avoid setting out to sea during periods of rough waves.
