Two persons on board a motorcycle perished in another road mishap at the Cebu South Coastal Road, on the Cebu City side.
The driver, said to be 22 years old, and the woman riding pillion, 21 years old, were run over by a trailer truck past 11 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025.
The truck was carrying a container van. Both the motorcycle and the truck were headed for the south direction.
Based on police investigation, the trailer truck was traversing the inner lane, while the motorcycle was on the middle lane.
However, the motorcycle maneuvered abruptly toward the truck and hit the truck’s side. The two were thrown off and were run over by the truck.
As of this writing, the truck driver is already under the custody of the Traffic Enforcement Unit for the filing of appropriate charges.
