A newly hired househelp was arrested for allegedly stealing money from her employer in Cebu City.
Six days to her job as a maid in Barangay Apas, she was arrested evening on September 3, 2025.
The suspect was identified as alias “Ivy,” 31 years old, from Oroquieta City, Province of Misamis Occidental.
Her employer reportedly started to lose money the moment the househelp has arrived for work.
The employer decided to mount a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera. A footage showed that the suspect took the victim’s thrift box which contained about P5,000.
