The director of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Northern Mindanao (DPWH-10) and 14 district engineers in the region have submitted their courtesy resignations.
This after the new DPWH Secretary ordered all officials of the agency nationwide to submit courtesy resignations following allegations of irregular transactions involving several officials, particularly in flood control projects.
DPWH-10 Director, Lilibeth Aparecio, and 14 engineers from various district engineering offices in the region, submitted their courtesy resignation letters on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The agency clarified that all district engineers in the region complied with the directive.
However, they continue to carry out their regular duties as DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon has yet to take action on their resignation.
“As of now, wala paman action si Secretary Dizon sa mga submitted nga mga resignation letters so padayun gihapon ang ilang trabaho sa ilang regular work,” DPWH-10 Spokesperson, Novie Cabrido, said.
