Students, parents, and other supporters gathered outside of a testing center in Iloilo City for the first day of the 2025 Bar Examinations.

Supporters converged outside of Central Philippine University as early as 5 a.m. on September 7, 2025.

Most of the supporters carried banners and cheered on Bar takers.

A group from Bacolod City, for example, said it has been awhile since they began preparing for the 2025 Bar Examinations, confident they will be able to hurdle the series of exams.

“You should know by now to really trust yourself. Trust that you got here and trust that you can do it,” said Miguel Sebastian Yulo, chairperson of Bar Operations of the University of Saint La Salle Bacolod.

Another family told GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas that they traveled all the way from Roxas City, Province of Capiz as a gesture of support to a loved one who aspires of becoming the first lawyer in the family.

“Iyan talaga kasi ang pangarap niya. Kahit ba kumuha siya ng IT na course, pero nag-proceed talaga siya na maka-graduate sa Political Science para maging lawyer,” Michael Vincent Colmo, brother of the bar examinee, said.

Police personnel have secured the said university, including enforcement of the liquor ban and noise curfew.

Road closures in the vicinity of the university have also been implemented.

The Central Philippine University is one of several testing centers nationwide.

The rest of the Bar exams will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, and on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
