A fire razed a house and other establishments in Tampakan, South Cotabato, leaving an estimated P11 million worth of damages.

An aerial video showed the extent of the fire that broke out at a compound in Barangay Poblacion.

The fire was raised to third alarm and was put out after around 20 minutes.

Among the structures affected were a house, an “ukay-ukay” store, and a hardware warehouse.

“Nasunog yung bodega na kalapit doon sa nasunugan. We conducted firefighting again then at 3:15 am, I declared fire out,” BFP Tampakan Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, SF02 Fernan Cabanban, said.

The items stored inside the warehouse such as plywood, plastic PVC pipes, and other merchandise were destroyed.

No one was reported hurt in the incident, but the damage reached up to P11 million.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and have yet to rule out arson.

“Yung sinasabi mo na may nagsunog siguro pwede, but tinitingnan  pa natin  yung mga possible talaga kasi kung may nagsunog, may mga bakas or may nakakita. Under investigation pa,” Cabanban said.

GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is reaching out to the owners of the hardware, the house, the store for a statement, as of this writing.
